I like to think of myself as a resilient person. Having been
through my fair share of adversity, being separated from my mother at 13,
losing my father at 16, as well as some self inflicted adversity like walking all over the Balogun market for 5+ hours just to find the right
shoes *sigh*
Despite this resilient nature, I occasionally find myself in a
debate. It is at these times that I ask myself “Who am I?” “Where is my hope?”
Then I remember how my Mother recalled there was a
salmonella outbreak in the 80s and I was miraculously saved from catching when all the children with my nanny had or how I safely delivered my child
after I had almost not gone through with the emergency CS that saved my life
and that of my daughter.
Isn't He the God everlasting and never changing from 24 years
ago or 19 months ago? Acknowledge your hurts and pour out your heart to God but
never give up on what he has called you to do.
Psalm 9:10 says "Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you."
I don’t know If you are questioning who you are as a Christian
or your overall purpose but remember that the Bible is full of so many Godly
people who questioned themselves and God consistently. The more you study the
word the more you see there is a relatable story to cover the core of every
human conflict. Even Jesus screamed Father why have you forsaken me? But He
will neither leave us nor forsake us.
There is no room to quit! We should find courage and strength
to continue the work God has placed in us. His grace is always sufficient.
