I read this story in The Daily Mail with tears in my eyes. A teenager has been left fighting for her life after going into a coma while undergoing a breast augmentation operation. Linda Perez,18, from Miami, Florida, who has a 3-year-old son, never woke up from the anesthesia after what should have been a routine hour-long operation.
Sometimes the price of vanity is just too high. Why on earth would a pretty 18 year old be getting this kind of procedure? She wasn't through with puberty yet! She's 18. Her son is 3. (Pregnant as 14) and implants as a teenager. There is something seriously wrong with this picture. 18 is too young in my opinion, to make an informed decision on such a sensitive matter. If a doctor is half the price of everyone else in South Florida then that should set off alarms. One of the first shopping lessons we should teach our kids is that "If it looks too good to be true. it is."
Young ladies, middle aged ladies, old ladies. Do not allow insecure young men and their ogling over some big (fake)-breasted beach bunny to affect your self-worth. That is not the sort of man you need. Period. We all need to learn to love who we are and stay away from the needles and knives. Our lives are much more important. I really hope she recovers!
