The whole essence of life as a human being is so fascinating
that one can’t but look to the skies and bless God for His awesomeness. He is
so awesome that He created each of us for a special purpose. As Christians however
we have the unifying purpose to reach out to others and bring them into the
fold.
Loving others is a form of worship to God. The world is so
devoid of real love that when we show genuine love, it is viewed with scepticism.
I watched a video on YouTube the other day and thought I should share. A stranger picked the grocery bills of random
customers in a departmental store and I could see from the video that those
affected were first in disbelief and when it dawned on them that it was for real,
they broke down in tears. It was such a joy to see the gratitude in their eyes.
I could feel they were shocked at such act of kindness and in my mind I imagined
if they were unbelievers and asked to accept Jesus as their Lord and their
Saviour, they were not going to think twice before saying yes.
When Christians ask what offerings are used for, I get
disappointed because it reflects a level of shallowness that I can’t wrap my
head round. No great ministry runs on water. We are in this race not for us alone.
As Christians, we need to be sensitive to the needs of others around us. The early
church recognised the importance of this tool for evangelism and capitalised on
that.
When we say we love God, let the love be extended to others
around us for them to be able to feel God’s love too because we have been commanded
by God to spread the word;
Matthew 28:18-20
Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been
given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the
end of the age.”
As you enter into this new day, I challenge you to speak to
someone today about Jesus.
Stay blessed.
