Dear Counsellor,
I am a Christian and I work in an international company where they talk about diversity in the workplace. There is also diversity training on sexual orientation and gender identity issues. I know some of my colleagues in the company are homosexual and as a Christian, I really would like to know how to treat these colleagues.
Even though I must say, I really detest the perversion of the sexuality and the rising importance and recognition of the homosexuals. I think Christians are allowing this issue to explode without taking a stance.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew O.
Dear Andrew O,
First of all, I would like you to ask yourself, What Would Jesus Do? Our lives as Christians are guided by two principles - Love your neighbour as yourself and Detest Sin in all its forms.
Let us also ask ourselves what the Bible has to say about Homosexuality. Check out these Bible references - (Romans 1:18-32, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 and 1 Timothy 1:9-11) . God regards homosexuality as a sin. Interestingly, the sin of homosexuality is put in the same pedestal as the sexually immoral, the adulterers and the idolaters. It is sin
I do believe that a Christian, you should not hate your homosexual friends but hate the sin of homosexuality. Show them the love of God and whenever you get the chance, talk to them about Christ.
Even if the friendship may not be comfortable at first, pray for patience, tolerance, courage to love them as God loves them.
If you feel some of these homosexual friends are confused about their identity, help them to find their identity in Christ. Pray for them also to see the light.

9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6: 9-10.Now What Would Jesus Do?
